LeBron James
It was an interesting week for LeBron, to say the least. During the period in which he won the award, James led the Heat to a 4-0 record with some great all-around play. His scoring totals had some serious fluctuations though; he put up his season-high on Thursday with 51 points against Orlando and then on Sunday scored a season-low 12 against the Clippers.
Something we all know from watching LeBron is that he does a lot more for his team then just scoring points. It's great that he fills up all the statistical categories but he also makes things much easier on his teammates both offensively and defensively. There are only a few guys out there that can play so many different positions and roles, and LeBron can outplay each and every one of them.
The 51-point game against Orlando was definitely the highlight of the week. He opened the game by hitting his first 11 field goals, which led to a Heat record 23-point 1st quarter. He also led the Heat with 11 rebounds that night and dished out a game-high 8 assists. On the week he averaged 26.5 points, 7.3 assists, 7.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals.
